The area's most illustrious landmark was built in 1909 by Stanley (of Steamer fame). The stately old four-story whitewashed hotel, on the National Register, continues to serve from a dramatic site high on a hill. The complex includes a large pool with a breathtaking 360° view, a full service spa, and a resort shop. Each room is well furnished with a blend of antiques and modern conveniences. A few deluxe units are now beautifully furnished and have a spectacular mountain view.
Contemporary American cuisine is served in the hotel's restaurant Cascade, delightfully themed to a waterfall in an adjoining courtyard and a large aquarium with rainbow trout.
