picturesque restaurant and lodging

This post-millenium complex has the look and feel of Frederickburg’s earliest yesteryears. Picturesque log cabins have been relocated here and outfitted with all contemporary amenities. Each is nicely sited in a lovely tree-shaded garden featuring ponds and rock-lined waterfalls with outdoor dining alcoves by the pond and in adjoining barbecue pit areas. Continental breakfast in the room is complimentary. Each cabin beautifully conveys rustic elegance with a porch with rocking chairs, and antiques and reproductions themed to a much earlier time, but also includes a large whirlpool tub, stone wood-burning fireplace, refrigerator and microwave.

Adjoining the lodgings is a popular destination for lunch and dinner. Fresh seasonal ingredients are given careful attention for traditional dishes like filet mignon or chicken-fried steak and innovative signature dishes like buffalo enchiladas with chipotle cream or pecan-crusted breast of chicken with creole mustard cream. Luscious housemade desserts are also served in the big, comfortably rustic dining room with a sophisticated flair that complements the cuisine.
